I am too sexy for your bombs...

India will not be intimidated by Kabul attack says Minister of State for External Affairs Mr. Tharoor

What would you do if you were intimidated Mr. Minister? Go after them?

Then please get intimidated Mr. Minister. Because I am intimidated by these events and more so by your nonchalance!

Good one! After twittergate, Thsroor may be cagey on twitter. His Ministry stayed silent on many occasions and made blunders (such as the Sharm El Sheikh dec). When I tweeted him asking what India's response was to Col. Gaddhafi's anti India speech at the UN, not a word came out on that. These diplomats are used to dancing around issues skilfully. They are so adept at moving from one issue to the other, that all the rhetoric is momentary (like the one you mentioned in this blog) and to be soon forgotten.

We've never been intimidated, y'know. Wikipedia has a nifty little page just for the terrorist strikes in India. It's neatly indexed and pretty exhaustive. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorism_in_India.

But we ain't scared, Ha! Sticks and stones may break our bones but your bombs will never intimidate us!

Tharoor is correct. India should not be intimidated by terrorists and make it a victory for the terrorists.

Btw he also mentions,"We will take all steps necessary to protect Indian lives and installations in Afghanistan". Hope you did not omit that delibarately.

Karthik: :p

Rootz: hehe the title is the attitude of the govt. Disdain is not the answer methinks.

Capt Anup: You are right!Tharoor should speak for himself. We the common people are intimidated! We do not have commandos protecting us 24x7.

Prathik: I think most of us are frustrated by govt inaction. Tharoor's clichéd comment was disappointing.

nitin: The politicos seems to have forgotten the people reactions after the Mumbai attack!

Dreamer; You said it! Disdain is so convenient!

phoenix: :D I love Fred!

Jambavan: You mean, if we tell the terrorists that we are not intimidated, that will frustrate them and stop them in their tracks? Great! I guess we will have no more trouble from them anymore.
