God Save His Own Country!

Here’s a marvelous compilation of painstaking research that will open the eyes of the so called Kerala defenders to the true state of Kerala. And here’s a comment by a commenter called Noble Paul that best explains the Kerala paradox and why the future is bleak for the State.

God Save His Own Country!

This New Year give a thought to the girls who are given a "One way ticket to Hell." Thanks to Aashik for the link!

Thanks for sharing.

Kerala is still God's own country, I am happy to say. It just needs some weeding. (I went there recently).

Gained access to the net only now, which was when i saw the posts on both your blogs. Hope that this sorry state of affairs is only temporary!
The way i see it, it could be a whole lot worse!

Thanks of linking this here. These videos shows that even though we are progressed in different areas in the last 60 years we have a long way to go.

'So Pretty' Anju Miss .. is quite a mouthful, and I don't think you'd be too happy with me, if I shortened it to SPAM. Now, if only there were a way to clear up such dilemmas sooner than leaving a comment here ... :P

Anjali,
Saw this a year after its posted. Better late than never. :) . Feeling quite disturbed. Not that we dont know anything about this, but the more and more we dont do anything about it, the more it hurts. Do you know of any movement happening where things are moving beyond blogs and internet? If so please do tell me, I would love to be a part of it. Saw people like you, JK, Mind curry (I dont even know who they are) also sharing similar views on blogs. Feel like we should make a move.Start small maybe, maybe as many fellow bloggers suggested, make the middle class start voting. Ofcourse it cannot be a overnight change, nothing can be, but to think that being born a mallu and victimized by the very evils of mallu society and having to go away from own land and family to work and make money, I feel that atleast we should try to change a bit of our society. Cynically I feel nothing will happen, but maybe the youth hope is what is in me that tells to try ...

Binoy: Actually blogs have helped a lot. Save Kerala (SK) is and still is the pioneer in this. It started a discussion like no other blog did. And led to awareness. I think that is important. Unfortunately the blog attracted a lot of so called Kerala defenders who did not realize that people actually care and that is why they highlight the problems. Fortunately they have left after frothing in the mouth in vain :p It is people like these that are the greatest impediment to change in Kerala. And they are young and not old believe me. Most of the people who want change are women and the older folks, judging from the comments at SK. I am hoping that SK will find the time to start blogging again.
