The Kal, Aaj aur Kal Tag
I have been tagged by Bluediamond (what a lovely name!!)
The Tag
Two questions from the past, present and future. Answer them and then tag your friends from the blog-o-sphere. Leave a comment on their blog letting them know they have been tagged and you are done.
Yesterday
Your oldest memories...
My oldest memories are of Kindergarten! The beautiful bougainvillea flowers that abounded everywhere, the swings, the laughter, the fun and the pampering by the Nuns, maids and senior girls.
I had chubby cheeks and endured lot of painful moments as people pinched them. Once I declared I would not go to school anymore and my parents had to talk to the teacher to ensure that the senior girls did not pinch my cheeks and go "Cho chweet"
What were you doing ten years ago?
I was in a school play. Our class did a tableau. It was a cricket scene. I had to don the whites of some cricketer who had lots of chest hair. This is girl’s school mind you. We had no clue how to do that. Finally we ended up cutting hair from girls with long hair and sticking them on my chest with glue. It kept itching and I kept scratching and a pit stop team had to be constituted for quick replacement of chest hair. Thank god I was quite young and flat chested then! The joke hit us when we reached 10th std and one day the teachers and other students thought a bunch of 10th standard girls had lost it as they rolled on the sports field laughing, tears coming out of theirs eyes for the whole lunch hour. We kept on giggling over it for a couple of weeks, driving teachers mad.
p.s in 9th std I had to play a guy again. It was the most painful half an hour in my life. Try wrapping yourself like a mummy to look flat chested. Brrr Oh those all girls school!!! The things we did to look like guys for plays and skits would make those Xtreme makeover guys hang themselves from the nearest tree in shame!
Today
Realized I had been tagged. Decided I won’t do it as I am suffering from Tag Toxic Syndrome. But when I read it I immediately wanted to do it! So attended to my morning work and wrote the tag.
If you build a time capsule what would it contain?
A CD with both the blogs copied on it. Family album, my grandmas book of traditional recipes, a laptop etc.
Tomorrow
...is Friday! Yipeeeeeeeeee!
What do you see yourself doing 14 years from now?
Driving hubby and kids crazy! I will be the craziest wife and mom in town. And perhaps the most fun too. I can visualize my kids saying "Now ma behave yourself!!"
I tag,
Thommu
Philip
Mathew
Confucius
Abhi
Al Ameen
Karthik S
Rakesh Vanamali
Emmanuel
& Sriram
p.s if you haven't voted yet, please vote for M.A.D ( see post below). Last date for voting is 11th Nov. Thank you!

Hi Anjali
Thanks very much for tagging me ;)
I was wondering if I could take the liberty of responding to your tag on Monday, the coming week!
Hopefully that's not too late!
& if I understand correctly, the reponses need to contain
1. My oldest memories
2. What I did ten years ago?; and
3. Today
Correct?
Just checking.....since I'm new to being tagged..... my first actually ;)
Please let me know!
Cheers
Rakesh
hahaha..i have donned the role of a woman..and even danced like madhubala in front of a crowd of 2000 people!!!;-D
And most of the time my fancy dress roles were always powerful woman characters like the Meenkaari!!
loved the idea of time capsule...:-)
aah..and tomm is friday...thursdays are equally good now considering the anticipation...will take the tag soon...thanks.
Tag done.. thanks for saving me from both a death of topics and the laziness to write a post!
Kumar: Thank you! :)
bluediamond: Thanks for the tag. very different! Loved doing it! :)
Rakesh; Looking forward to your tag! :)
Mathew: Meenkari must have been challenging!! Looking fwd to your tag!:)
Srirmam: Thank you! :)
Thanks a lot for the tag. I'm over th moon since you've tagged me :). Loved your responses. I too was a chubby cheeked baby in my young age(to be exact upto 10 yrs). So i know how it feels. Good tag, loved going through the school days. Would post it asap.
This looks like a day of typos... I meant 'dearth' of topics in my comment... and then you go and change my name in ur reply.. and then there comes the 'bespectacled suck' in my post..!
Abhi: Thank you!! Looking fwd to your tag! :)
Sriram: LOL!!! You are right! Must be some contagion going around! :p
@Silverine.
Thanks for tagging me :)
I have responded to your tag ..:). It was fun doing it..Mannn...I love tags.
I used to be very chubby ( very very ). I played a girl in 2 occasions .. one for a mime and one for a play. And I heard that one of my classmate fell in love with me instantly. The fact that he was from Kozhikode didnt help either ;)
" Try wrapping yourself like a mummy to look flat chested. Brrr Oh those all girls school!!! The things we did to look like guys for plays and skits would make those Xtreme makeover guys hang themselves from the nearest tree in shame!"
See..now u understand the importance of Men.Good girl !!
The tageth is doneth!!
hahahhaa:D...guys playing gals also have an equally tought time..there also a fat chest was the problem, the lack of it ..
and to wat extents we went..
my latest experience of dressing up as a gal was last year...my final year in college...heheh...and it was real sexy
Really, was the chest hair on the cricketer essential to the play? :-| I wonder what kind of play it was? :) AND I was literally LOLing in lab reading what you girls did for the chest hair =))
p.s: In 9th there was perhaps an alternative? Tie a pillow around your waist and draw a moustache. The chest can stay as it is then :)
You'll certainly be one crazy and absolutely fun wife! Er..I don't mean there'll be a second... :-|
LOL..that chest hair part is incredible..I mean, seriously?
Women always complain how difficult it is going through life with 'womenly attributes'. Now you know how difficult it is to go around with chest hair ;)
Looks like a fun tag and looking forward to doing it.
Lol.. you really cut hairs n stuck it.. omg!
you've had some crazy school days!! :)
hehe.. "now behave yourself ma!" ;) i bet my kids will be telling that too..
That's interesting, all of us got the roles of the opposite sex then. And 14 years from now, I can visualize your husband "aaattufying ari" and "rolling chapathis" while you watching the television and ordering him to give you a leg massage. But I might be wrong, the roles can get reversed too.
Hi Anjali
Just a note to say that I've responded to your tag!
Thanks once again! I enjoyed doing the tag!
Cheers
Rakesh
